The third session of Working Group 5 was held on December 10, 2021, via the online platform Zoom. The session was dedicated to the topic: “Waste – polluter or resource? “How to improve the implementation of the Law on Waste Management in the Republic of North Macedonia?” The session was attended by over 65 relevant stakeholders, representatives of the business sector, the academy, but also international institutions with offices in Skopje as well as representatives of various embassies in the Country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mileva Gjurovska<\/strong>, National Coordinator of NCEU-MK opened the session, wishing everyone a productive session and explained the importance of the chosen topic. She noted that although the country is making progress in transposing EU legislation into national law, the reality is that we are far from implementing and meeting European Union standards, where only 25 per cent of waste can be disposed of and the rest is recycled.<\/p>\n\n\n
