On June 18, 2025, the Program Council of Working Group 4 – Justice, Freedom and Security held a working meeting at the Ministry of Interior with the State Secretary, Mr. Sašo Petruševski.
The meeting began by emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the National Convention on the EU and the Ministry of Interior, with special recognition of the constructive contribution of MoI representatives at the recently held 16th session of WG-4. All participants agreed that the current collaboration should continue and be further deepened through structured dialogue, including the engagement of MoI operational structures directly involved in the relevant topics.
The main focus of the meeting was the organization and scheduling of the next WG-4 session. Several current topics were proposed for discussion, particularly related to human trafficking and migration. Additionally, the possibility of involving experts from EU member states and the region was considered, in order to share experiences and practical examples for effective management of these issues.
